You can also post comments on the sites and share with your friends, making it a social URL sharing service. Viewista can be particularly useful on Twitter because a user can create a short URL for multiple sites on a topic without having to use multiple tweets.

Very nice article. Is there any tool of searching shortest available URLs or expired URLs for those who would like to have their own URL shorteners?

Also have you noticed the new trends with short URLs when every page provides the permalink to be copied and already generated short URL. Check the bottom of any TechCrunch.com article :)

We (http://URLoo.com) are just starting, but already have an idea how to get into this list of unusual tools in the nearest future. :)
