By default the Blogger platform (which this blog is running on) does not allow sorting posts by categories. You can however rely on the community at large to devise workarounds for this.
It is a common question asked by many bloggers who use this platform so here are two ways I managed to pull it off.
I started with an easy way which was to :
1. Create a specific del.icio.us account for my blog
2. Tag my posts
3. Output the tags to my sidebar using the del.icio.us tagrolls feature
Find out more about this method here.
The drawback is that users get transported out of your site and into your del.icio.us bookmarks page when they click on your categories.
The method I’m currently using is via the Freshtags method which also uses del.icio.us, but uses JavaScript found on the Freshtags site to display category results on your blog without directing them out of it. The instructions on how to implement it was easy, and you can find it here.
If you already use del.icio.us, use this Mozdev.org Firefox Extension to easily tag between multiple accounts without having to login and logout.
Or you could just switch to Wordpress :)
Update: 11th Aug 2006 : Since this blog has moved to Wordpress already, you can check out implementation at my now defunct blogspot space.
