filehippo

How do you get the latest versions of your favorite software…without checking different sites every day to see if your software’s outdated?  FileHippo makes it easy with their free update checker.

It scans your Windows registry and lets you know which software needs some upgrading, and provides useful information like the size of the download, the current and latest version, and of course a link to download the latest version of the software itself.  Simple, and incredibly effective.

According to the site, none of your data is stored with FileHippo so you don’t have to worry about your privacy being violated.

Bonus tip #1: If you’re looking for OLD version of your software, try out OldVersion.com & OldApps.com.

Bonus tip #2: If you’re on a Mac, try the App Update Widget

picnik

We have touched on other online image editors in the past, but Picnik has got to be the most intuitive, but yet powerful online editor I have used thus far. With the Picnik extension you can grab a screenshot of a page,or any image on the web with a simple click and move it directly to Picnik for editing.  You do however have to join Picnik (Free) to get started, but you definitely will not be disappointed.

5. Upload files faster to ImageShack or PhotoBucket with Imagebot

imagebot

ImageShack and Photobucket have got to be two of the most popular ways of storing images for web pages online.  If you want to put a picture online without cluttering up your own web space, those are the two services you use.

ImageBot allows lets you upload your images to either service and lets you sort, filter, and make image galleries out of your images in a snap.

A lot of sites today offer certifications like 70-284 online. In order to convey more easily, they have a relatively simpler web site design and a direct domain name. They concentrate on directed internet advertising in order to drive the right kind of web traffic to the site. They try to avoid use of any complicated computer software requirements for their products as well, for user’s compliance.

“I don’t know - can you help me?”

Ever since I started this site, I’ve always wondered which parts of it site appealed most to you - my readers.  What I’d like to do is focus my writing on the sections which you like best to give you the best experience possible.

I’ve used a whole range of stat counters to track site stats, and crazy egg heat maps to see which area of my site is hot, but now I figure I’d just throw the question out there and ask you how I can improve this site.

“I don’t know - can you help me?”

I will be sharing aggregated results of this survey at a later time, but will never reveal your individual results so you don’t have to worry about privacy.

PS. RSS/email readers - if you can’t see the survey, please click through to the post itself.

If there are any other comments you would like to add on aside from what was asked for in the poll, please feel free to drop one here or contact me directly.

Thanks for participating and helping out - I really appreciate it.
