The IM application given on nokia is also good, but its getting though to find the settings for any IM service.
Settings for Yahoo messenger for IM is shown above, does anyone have an idea of how we can configure GTALK in IM on 5800?

Tried a few in the past. Mig33 and TruTap. I liked Mig33 but no Facebook chat support. Trutap has facebook support but its recently stopped working. I don't believe they keep it up to date.

Anyway, from your reccomendation I tried Palringo. You're right, first screen is confusing, but once your registered and in its awesome. Does everything I want, connection seems stable and its all nicely organised. Good shout.

Cheers.

Check out Centrl too! Centrl lets you see the locations of your friends and chat with them for free (No SMS charges apply). Think of it as instant messenger with a with a map. Since it works with your current social network and is available as a free mobile application, someone on Facebook could chat with and see the location of their friend on MySpace or their friend on an iPhone.
