Firefox continues to break new ground when it comes to grassroots marketing. It’s army of volunteers chip in because of their love for the browser, and such is their marketing clout and that among other things, they have taken out full spread 2 page ads in the New York Times, recorded countless video testimonials, and created CD starter kits for physical distribution.
Now they have taken it to the next level with the Firefox flicks project, centered around a Firefox video advertisment contest which garnered 250+ entries from around the globe. Most of which are pretty good, and have relatively high production quality.
