I’ve lost count how many phone GPS’s I’ve used before, but the Garmin Asus M10 seriously blows any GPS device I’ve used out of the water.
The screen is large (3.5”), and the interface is simple to understand and read.
It also offers
- Lane assist (so you know which lane to keep to),
- Text to speech (reads out road names)
- Junction-view (gives you a picture of the approaching junction so there’s no confusion)
…and it has a really powerful built-in GPS which locks on to signals quickly, and even works perfectly well without A-GPS (It also supports A-GPS).
For ease of use, navigation functions are built directly into the shortcut menu for easy access, and it comes with a nifty car-kit as well.

I tested it with Huai Bin and I can tell you, its awesome. All garmin software so far does not READ out road names to you! Tis one rocks as you get to learn the names (well, if u r using GPS, i would assume that you do not know the way and hence not knw the road names right?) how intuitive!
The maps are very clear as well and the phone looks Gorgeous! (read fashionable and hip)
Can’t ask for more. I do hope I get it. Sure beats me using my SonyEricson K5.. (cant rmbr) phone now.

Over the years I have enjoyed the benefits of having your personal data at your finger tips. I have given up on combined PDA / Phones as I’ve found them to hang or reboot while multitasking. I use an iPod touch 2G, along with a conventional phone as part of my mobile office..

I work for a company who is required to handle many requests from people who are not able to do this themselves. If I had a phone like this it would make my day easier as I would be able to use apps such as conversion scales and emails to keep in touch with these people, and follow up with there requests on a 1 to 1 basis. Along with this I would also be able to create my schedule to work around my personal life and working requirements. This in itself would really help me and benefit all the people who trust me to assist them with the things they are unable to do themselves.
