The good folks at Opera were the only browser group to actually release a proper official backup utility for their browser, and as a result – it’s a top class product called OperaFly.  Aside from handling the basic backups, it also has the ability to backup and restore to/from an FTP server, send backups via email, and to restore backups from a http site.  It also allows for pre-scheduled backups and automatic backups when the browser is closed.

This post is nice
Here is an article that explains solutions for Chrome Backup in Detail

I myself use Xmarks to keep my browsers in sync and backed up all at once. Of course having an offline backup is always a good idea too. BTW Xmarks now supports not only Firefox, but also Internet Explorer, Safari and Google Chrome. If only they would add Opera support it would be the perfect browser extension.

For backing up Opera profiles, you can use the simple OSIE utility. It creates a tar.gz archive of the profile and gives you the option of choosing what to backup. It's available from http://www.pallax.com/~discostu/opera/osie/

Opera also supports saving your bookmarks, notes etc to your operalink account and then keeping it synchronized. Very nice!

@Raspal - that's a brilliant tip - thanks for the comment!

Thanks for share, I really need this information.

For Firefox you also can use FEBE, OPIE and InfoLister
