		<description>I prefer http://www.checksite.us because it also checks URLs and not just top level domains - plus if the site is down it can keep checking for me until it comes back up and email me.

		<description>Nah, it&#039;s just from their locale.  It&#039;s not meant to be a systematic multi-location pinging service.  The chances of it being down at the same time as you as a matter of coincidence would be less than 0.1% I would imagine.</description>
