Turning B&W Photos Into Color with Recolored

recoloredRecolored is an image editing program which breathes new life to B&W photos by turning them into color photos.

Yes, part of the magic may be lost once color is introduced to a classic B&W photo, but it does allow you to look at old pictures in different ways never before possible. Try to edit for example, an old photo of your grandparents — it makes a great gift to family members.

Recolored’s results are breathtaking, (check out the examples) but best of all, it is quick.
There is no intense graphic editing required, and all the pictures below took me around 15 minutes each to do. (Recoloring B&W photos can be strangely addictive).

It is however, not free (It used to be), but there is a free trial version available for download.

By the way, today my country celebrates it’s 49th year of independence.
As a mini-project, I have added colour to old B&W photos of our first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman. Happy Merdeka Day to All Malaysians…
