New isn’t always better. I recently reformatted my hard drive and had to reinstall all the software. In certain cases I found that official web sites only had the latest version of the software up for download, and my licenses were only compatible with older versions.

A word to the wise – Some services may only work well with the latest versions. Older versions may have bugs, security flaws, or may no longer be supported by the manufacturer.
